About JACA

Message from the Chairman

My name is Norizō Hirose of Prostaff Co., Ltd., and I was appointed chairman at the regular general meeting and board of directors meeting held on May 15, 2025 (Reiwa 7). The automotive industry is facing a once-in-a-century period of great change. We are facing a wide range of challenges, including responding to the electrification and autonomous driving of vehicles, strengthening environmental regulations, labor shortages, and intensifying global competition. As an organization centered on automotive chemical manufacturers, members of the Japan Auto Chemical Association (JACA) are also being asked to adapt themselves in response to these major changes in the environment. We hope that JACA's activities can help members overcome these difficult times by sharing pertinent information, which is a common need among members, and by supporting our members’ compliance with laws and regulations.
To achieve that, JACA intends to focus on the following four points:

 1. Collecting and consolidating information and sharing it with members and supporting members
 2. Supporting all members’ compliance with laws and regulations
 3. Addressing special issues, such as certification and accreditation systems, award systems, overseas information,
member recruitment, SDGs and carbon neutrality
 4. Planning and holding information sessions for members

Information will be communicated to members through email newsletters, networking events with relevant ministries and organizations, and committee activities. We are confident that these efforts will lead to the revitalization of the industry, and ultimately return profits and value to our member companies. We courteously ask all members, relevant government agencies, and related organizations for your continued support and guidance.

Foundation and Goals

The Japan Auto Chemical Industry Association, whose parent organization is the Japan Automotive Oil Agent Industrial Association , was established in November, 1961, and is Japan’s only organization of affiliated manufacturers and importers of brake fluids, antifreezes, waxes, and other automotive chemical products. To facilitate the continued growth of the industry, the Japan Automotive Oil Agent Industrial Association and the Auto Chemical Industry Association joined together to establish JACA, an organization that also includes outside entities, in May, 1982, with JACA taking over the businesses of the existing industrial associations.

There are close bonds and interactions among the members of JACA. The association comprehensively advances business related to supporting and promoting the automotive chemical goods industry, and helps strengthen the structure of the auto chemical industry.
